We are seeking a motivated Software Section Leader to join the Software Team within the Battle Management Systems Software Department. As a Section Leader, you will be responsible for the oversight of software personnel to meet program needs. The ideal candidate is a well-disciplined individual with a proven applicable technical background, who is able to thrive in a dynamic agile environment and is able to work well in a team setting.
This position will be 100% on site in Ft. Wayne, IN.
What You Will Do
- Ensure that each employee has suitable work assignments and opportunities for growth and advancement
- Contribute to the technical oversight of employees in support of their daily work assignments
- Performance development and appraisal
- Salary and staffing planning
- Ensuring the adherence to company policies and the communication of company and program information
- Responsible for supporting a major program.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
- Experience with complex systems.
- Experience with software development techniques and tools, including some, or all, of the following computer languages: C/C++, Java, or Ada.
- Experience with design, code, integration, and test of large systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as scrum, scrum at scale, SAFe and DevSecOps.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Interim Secret issued security clearance is required on day 1. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
