Location USA – Florence, 2505 Ted Bushelman Blvd. Division Solutions Job Title Supervisor Employment Type Full Time Shift 2A SUN‑TUE & every other WED 5 PM‑5:30 AM Position Summary The Operations Supervisor is responsible for supervising labor management, planning inbound and outbound operations, product slotting, and customer communication on a daily basis. Duties include labor scheduling, space utilization, equipment and manpower management, hiring and training of staff, daily work assignment, performance appraisals, and problem resolution. The Supervisor leads receiving, warehousing, and shipping activities and works closely with the Operations Manager or Distribution Center Manager to meet productivity and service goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct staff meetings to review daily and weekly activities and drive continuous improvement. Inform senior management and client representatives of critical operational issues. Develop systems and procedures that ensure safe, profitable, and compliant operations. Implement cost‑saving measures and propose ideas for improved efficiency. Meet client‑specified KPI’s and comply with quality system requirements. Use sound communication and motivational techniques to supervise, counsel, and if needed discipline staff. Coordinate with Human Resources on hiring, training, and professional development. Plan daily work schedules based on orders, arrival notices, and customer instructions. Assess priorities, reconfigure warehouse space, and adjust staffing or supplies as needed. Train new staff and assess progress, adding duties when appropriate. Monitor job performance, provide guidance, and keep supervisors and managers informed. Support physical operations as needed. Leverage personnel skills to deliver results and maintain high motivation levels. Provide ongoing development opportunities and conduct annual performance reviews. Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Skills & Abilities Education and Experience High school diploma or GED. Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or a related environment. Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience. Preferred: MHE certification or knowledge of basic MHE operation. Certificates, Licenses, and Designations Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program. Computer Skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Experience with RF scanners. Knowledge of WMS functions. Language Skills English – reading, writing, and verbal proficiency. Business communication skills.
