Job Description\n Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: 10/05/2026\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, days\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n · Shift Requirements: 12 hr nights 7p-730a.\n Float to all inpatient unitsas needed.\n · On Call/Call Back Requirements: Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours - can be low censused in hour increments as needed.\n Unit will typically low census in 4 hr increments and could ask for a traveler to work only 4 or 8 hrs of the shift.\n This is not considered to be on call.\n · Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Every other weekend and every other holiday.\n · Required Certifications: WI RN License, BLS- AHA or ARC.\n · Minimum Experience: 2 years.\n Trauma level II experience highly preferred.\n · Charting Experience: EPIC required..\n · Unit Information: MAP Unit – Medical and Pediatrics (Medical and Pediatrics – travelers do not take Peds patients).\n The major conditions/most frequent diagnoses treated:Adults - respiratory illnesses, stroke, other neurological conditions (such as seizure disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, chronic back pain), gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, urinary tract disorders, sepsis, wound care, clotting disorders, other infectious disease processes, and acute alcohol withdrawal.\n Typical patient ratios on days 1:4-5 and on nights 1:6-7.\n · Desired skillset: Hard worker, Resilient and Manages Change well, Social candidates: Able to manage independently and complete tasks timely, willingness to ask questions and collaborate with team and ancillary staff to ensure the best patient experience possible.\n Positive attitude and flexibility with constant changes which can occur throughout a shift.\n · Scrub Colors: any color.\n GSA hours are not guaranteed the week of Orientation.\n Traveler is guaranteed set hours per week, except during holidays where unit is closed.\n During flu season, any traveler who declines flu and COVID vaccination is required to wear a mask at all times.\n This is an Aspirus policy, and compliance is mandatory (No exceptions).\n Failure to follow the policy may result in corrective action.\n About Malone Healthcare - Nursing\n \n With a commitmentto providing a higher standard of service and experience in patient care, Malone Healthcare places expert nurses and allied health professionals in rewarding careers throughout the United States.As a leading healthcare staffing agency, Malone’s focus on compliance and integrity translates to a seamless experience for our team members and partner facilities.
