Key Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
• Current state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• BLS and ACLS certifications (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Previous acute care hospital experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
• Comfort with adapting to new technologies and care settings

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions for individuals with respiratory disorders
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust ventilator support as appropriate
• Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpret results
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care modalities and equipment
• Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation per healthcare standards
