Transplant/Cell Therapy & Malignant Hematology - Physician Scientist

Position Summary Loma Linda University Health, Division of Transplant/Cell Therapy (TCT) is recruiting faculty Physician-Scientists at open rank (Assistant, Associate, or Professor) for leadership roles. We seek dynamic faculty interested in developing an academic, laboratory translational research program with collaboration among basic, translational, and clinical scientists at Loma Linda University. Successful candidates will hold a primary research laboratory assignment with dedicated space and a generous startup package. They will also develop and conduct translational research, collaborate on blood and marrow transplantation studies, and engage in cellular immunotherapy. Teaching responsibilities include oversight of graduate students, research and clinical fellows, residents, and mid‑level providers across laboratory, ambulatory, and inpatient activities. Research Focus The TCT/Hem Malignancies Division focuses on novel cell‑based and immune therapies—including CAR‑T, NK, vaccine, and gene therapies; cell and vector engineering—alongside transplant immunology, autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem‑cell transplantation. Additional hematologic disease focus is optional and based on candidate preference. The work is supported by core facilities, a new cGMP laboratory, a fully characterized tumor sample repository, and state‑of‑the‑art medical and children’s hospital buildings opened in 2021. Qualifications MD (or foreign equivalent). Completion of fellowships in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology, preferred: TCT fellowship or equivalent experience, and Internal Medicine, Hematology, or Medical Oncology board eligible or certified. OR completion of fellowships in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology or Immunology, TCT fellowship or equivalent experience, and Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, or Immunology board eligible or certified. Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $150,000 – $400,000, adjusted for experience and faculty rank. Variable compensation and productivity bonuses are not included.
