We have opportunities around the world for you to contribute to such advancements as autonomy, electrification, smart mobility technologies, and more!You will be part of the Vehicle Software and Electronic Solutions team as a talented Powertrain and Electrified OBD subsystem engineer who will mainly focus on bringing innovative, exciting, and new powertrain technologies to meet the challenging on-board diagnostic (OBD) regulatory requirements all over the world. What you’ll be able to do: Deliver, validate, and maintain on-board diagnostic (OBD) solutions for powertrain technologies needed to meet global diagnostic regulatory requirements. Develop and analyze diagnostic algorithms using Matlab/Simulink/Stateflow; specify these algorithms using Ford Requirements Documentation processAuthor scripts using Matlab, python and/or other scripting languages to analyze system/diagnostic behavior and support algorithm specification and calibration development processesPerform Hardware in the Loop (HIL)/Software in the Loop (SIL), on-road, emissions, and/or dynamometer data collection to calibrate and validate diagnostic monitoring capability of new powertrain technologies.Develop Reliability and Robustness documentationDiagnostics RequirementsDFMEAP-diagramBoundary DiagramNoise Factor Management MatrixCalibration GuidesDiagnostic Operation SummaryFault demonstration methods for diagnostic algorithmsCollaborate with control system hardware release engineers, Ford Powertrain calibration teams, feature software engineers and software planning engineers to manage the design, development, and validation of engine diagnostic software.Lead and resolve software and calibration launch issues in a timely manner.
