The Role We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with enterprise, telco, technology, managed service and governmental customers deploying DeepTempo’s detection layer in their environments. Additionally, this person will assist in joint solution development with strategic partners and be a field facing voice advocating for and generating awareness. This position is also a trusted advisor and visionary and a voice of the customer back into product development and management. It sits at the intersection of architecture, cyber operations, distributed systems, and customer partnership. You will embed deeply with customers — helping design, deploy, tune, and operationalize DeepTempo in real-world environments. You will influence architecture decisions, shape product direction based on field learnings, and ensure our technology delivers measurable impact. Responsibilities Customer Deployment & Architecture: Lead design and deployment of DeepTempo within enterprise and federal environments: on-prem, cloud, hybrid, or SaaS ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Kubernetes, etc.). Architect secure, resilient infrastructure aligned with enterprise constraints and compliance requirements. Build reusable deployment frameworks and automation patterns. Cyber & Operational Integration Partner with SOC and security teams to operationalize detections, workflows, and investigations. Advise on logging strategy, telemetry quality, and detection maturity. Support threat modeling, response integration, and workflow design. Technical Leadership Serve as a trusted advisor to CISOs and technical leadership Lead joint technical engagements with strategic partners Propose and design joint solutions with strategic partners. Surface structured feedback that meaningfully shapes roadmap decisions. Customize and implement the Intelligent Detection Layer. Enablement Lead technical onboarding sessions and workshops. Produce architecture documentation, deployment guides, and playbooks. Help customers move from proof-of-concept to production maturity. Required Experience 5+ years in cloud engineering, enterprise SaaS architecture, cyber operations, DevSecOps, site reliability, or comparable technical delivery roles. Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience integrating security, observability, or analytics platforms at scale. Strong understanding and working knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals: detection engineering, logs, telemetry pipelines, threat models, and incident response workflows. Familiarity and ability to communicate complex AI/ML concepts to operational stakeholders Scripting or programming proficiency (Python, Go, Bash, etc.). Comfort operating in customer-facing technical roles with executive and engineering stakeholders. Start-up experience. Preferred Experience working directly with SOC teams or MSSPs. Familiarity with ML/AI-driven products. Background in high-volume data systems or distributed telemetry environments. Experience and comfort working both domestically and internationally. Thrives in teams where titles are loose and ownership is everything — comfortable jumping between strategic advisor, technical architect, and customer champion depending on what the moment demands.
