Start Date : ASAP : Initial 3–5 month term, with potential for a longer-term or full-time role based on our family’s needs
Location : Edina
Children : 5 children (7-year-old, 5-year-old, 3-year-old, and 1-year-old twins)
Schedule : Monday – Friday, 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM
Salary : $26 - $30/hour (depending on experience)
Description : 
The Situation:
Our 7-year-old son recently broke his femur and will have limited mobility during his recovery. We are looking for an extra set of hands to help keep our household running smoothly over the next several months. Mom will generally be home, with Dad typically joining later in the evening. You will work alongside us as a team to divide and conquer and will not be expected to independently manage all five children.

How You Will Help:
Above all, we are looking for someone who can see where help is needed and jump in. The role will vary from day to day depending on what is happening in the household.
Examples may include:

• Jumping in with childcare and keeping the kids engaged
• Helping with homework or reading
• Helping with dinner or the evening routine
• Tackling children’s or family laundry
• Loading or unloading the dishwasher and helping with kitchen cleanup
• Vacuuming, tidying toys, or helping keep common areas organized
• There is no fixed daily task list. We are looking for an extra set of hands who can work alongside us and help wherever the need is greatest that day.

• Proactive & Organized: You see what needs to be done and jump in without needing constant direction. You are comfortable moving between childcare and household tasks based on where help is needed.
• Fun & Engaging : You enjoy interacting with kids and know how to keep them engaged. We are a no-screen-time household, so we value someone who enjoys games, books, crafts, outdoor play, and conversation.
• Calm & Collected : You stay calm when things get busy and can help bring order when there is a lot going on.
• Boundaries & Redirection: You can set clear, firm boundaries and redirect behavior when needed. You know how to handle a meltdown calmly and remove a child from a situation when appropriate.
• Safety-First : Safety is our highest priority, particularly with active toddlers and a 7-year-old recovering from a significant leg injury.
• Dependable : You can commit to the schedule and become a reliable part of our family’s routine.
