Registered Nurse (RN) - Respiratory Med-Surg

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic, fast-paced Respiratory Med-Surg unit, which specializes in the care of patients with pulmonary diseases. This high-acuity unit manages a complex population, including patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring. Candidates must be comfortable in a fast-moving environment with rapid patient turnover and varying care needs.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse population of adult respiratory and medical-surgical patients.
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Float as needed within scope to similar Med-Surg units such as Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED boarders.

Qualifications

Active Ohio RN license.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Minimum of 3 years of recent Med-Surg and Telemetry experience.
Proven ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips (competency test required on Day 1).
Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is mandatory (no training or refreshers provided).

Additional Details

No on-call requirement.
Must be adaptable, efficient, and able to thrive in a high-volume setting.
Holiday coverage required.

Shift Information

36 hours/week | 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM | Every other weekend required.
