About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of acute care facility experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and Cerner Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to achieve outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or patient's situation. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing care in a safe, healing, and humane environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
