HR Compensation Analyst

HR Compensation AnalystThe Compensation Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and administration of compensation procedures, practices, philosophy, and programs. The selected candidate will utilize salary surveys to study labor markets and determine competitive compensation for approximately 11,000+ salaried employees. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Research appropriate job descriptionsReviewing and evaluating compensation programs regularlyEnsuring internal and external compensation philosophy alignmentReviewing job classification and recommending compensation changes within company policy and budgetary limitationsInterpreting state and federal laws regulating compensation practicesSupporting all compensation special requests and emergent project workBriefing and educating supervision and salaried employees on compensation policies and practicesBuilding consensus with Sr. Leadership on compensation initiatives and developing a strategic roadmap for implementationSupporting the compensation cycle including but not limited to:Merit: pay for performanceTargeted discretionary salary allocationsBonus and incentive allocationsIndividual contributor reclassification promotionsDemonstrated MS Office suite proficiency with priority on advanced Excel skills including:Creating and analyzing pivot tables and chartsFunctions such as vlookup and other formulasTranslation of large data sets into meaningful summarized outputExperience administering bonus and incentive programsAbility to identify and analyze trends both internal and within related compensation and talent markets as they relate to compensationExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary, as this position requires significant peer and customer interface with all levels of managementThe following competencies will be present in a successful candidate:Highly motivatedStrong analytical skillsFinancial backgroundWillingness to learn and growDetail orientedAble to work in a team environmentAdaptableAccountableEnterprise mindsetObservant and curiousMust be able to multitask effectively and efficientlySolutionerRequired:BA/BS Degree2+ years of experience in HR, Wage Administration or FinancePreferred:Degree concentration in Human Resources, Finance, or Business preferredExperience conducting wage or salary reviews2+ years salary compensation administration at a mid to large organization5 years experience in Human ResourcesExperience working with an HRIS system; Peoplesoft
