Position Description

Position Title: Senior Sales Associate

Reports To: Store Leader

Classification: Full-Time/Non-Exempt/Hourly

Position Overview

The SSA supports the store leadership team in achieving all customer service, sales, ATF requirements, and safety standards while demonstrating outstanding customer service and leadership in the store. Responsible for opening and closing of the store, range safety and cleanliness standards, and personal sales goals. The SSA will be expected to learn the policies and procedures necessary for opening, closing and the daily operation of the store in the absence of Store Leadership.

Providing outstanding customer service that is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and fostering lasting relationships.

Greeting customers and facilitating the customer experience.

Facilitating cross-selling of complimentary products.

Informing customers of Shoot Point Blank services, discounts, special offers, sales, and promotions.

Meeting or exceeding sales goals.

Meeting or exceeding all personal and store metric goals.

Answering customer questions regarding product pricing, features, and availability.

Assisting with maintaining the store's visual objectives and housekeeping standards by restocking, straightening merchandise, and ensuring that overall store appearance and cleanliness meets the company's standards.

Producing the daily required documents including the 4473 forms, daily gun counts serial audits, position schedule, range, classroom, and course needs.

Managing store software to create merchandise labels and to stay up to date on daily store sales - actual vs. goals.

Conducting store opening and closing procedures including cleanliness, register setup, reconciliation, and store security.

Ensuring all proper firearm safety rules are followed.

Ensuring that range maintenance takes place to ensure lanes are working and any issues are addressed if possible. If necessary, relaying to the manager the parts needed for repair.

Maintaining compliance with all involved government agencies including 4473 and background check processes during the firearm sales process.

Staying up to date on new products that our customers have interest in.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

1-2 years of customer service sales experience preferably within a specialty retail environment.

Ability to understand, recall and follow complex compliance regulations and the ability to work with highly confidential information.

Availability to work a flexible schedule and hours necessary to open and/or close the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Communicates with customers to ensure that they are satisfied and that their needs are being met.
