Job Summary

Sign and seal plans in jurisdictions where licensed.

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance on structural design, constructability, code interpretation, and field issues.

Develop engineering standards, calculation methods, quality-control procedures, and practical repair solutions.

Resolve construction and structural challenges while supporting clients, contractors, and project teams.

Research building codes, new markets, software, and emerging technologies to improve engineering processes and efficiency.

Review and approve structural designs, calculations, drawings, and engineering documentation for code compliance and quality standards.

Job Requirements

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 4+ years of structural design experience, particularly in residential wood-frame construction.

Strong background in wood framing, roof trusses, concrete and post-tensioned foundations, and steel framing.

Knowledgeable in IRC, IBC, ASCE, ACI, PTI, and AISC standards, with strong AutoCAD and structural software experience.

Experience with retaining walls, ICF, forensic engineering, construction deficiencies, and engineering reports is preferred.

Strong analytical, communication, research, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office with a professional, collaborative, and adaptable approach.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
