Job Description:

• This position works as a key member of the Payroll team leading the Time and Labor function by managing the day-to-day functional requirements in the eTime Timekeeping tool.
• The Time and Labor group works across sites in the US, Puerto Rico, and Canada to ensure the Time and Labor system is properly tracking time, shift differentials, overtime, vacation accruals, and local holiday rules.
• This position is responsible for managing a small team and reports to the Payroll Operations Manager.

Main Responsibilities:

• Technical expertise associated with the improvement/configuration of eTime, or similar, timekeeping system. Oversees time administration activities for North America
• Ensures high quality service delivery for all time system programs and policies
• Responsible for the successful time administration of payroll
• Ensures data/time is managed effectively between time keeping technology to payroll platform in an efficient and effective manner
• Works with Time and Labor team trouble shoot any issues with data, interfaces or time clocks
• Analyze biweekly time reports and variances, identifies system inefficiencies, and implements system/process enhancements
• Ensures time files are successfully managed to ensure timely payroll processing
• Manage time and payroll related projects to ensure system is legally compliant
• Manage requests, analysis, and project requests
• Manages relationship with local site Time Administrators, provides training and support, and keeps them appraised of eTime updates and changes.
• Coaches team on service delivery and effective customer service
• Confirm pay codes, pay rules, and accrual profiles are configured to local labor laws and site policy
• Assist with Tier 2 escalation and manages case load volumes
• Ensures internal and external tickets are resolved timely
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Education:

• BA/BS in Management, HR, or relevant work experience in lieu of degree

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years dedicated multi-state payroll experience with a large employer

• Minimum 3 years leadership experience
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information
• Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong mathematical skills with ability to research, analyze, and correct time and payroll data
• Experience planning, tracking, and managing projects
• Ability to communicate in a precise and clear manner
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of internal/external contacts
• Knowledge of payroll practices in Puerto Rico and Canada is a plus

Industry experience:

• Desired - Experience working in mid/large complex environment

Knowledge and Skills

• Required: Strong knowledge and understanding of various time and labor laws including overtime and meal period rules.
• Ability to understand functional needs of the business and effectively communicate them to technical resources with the third party vendor
• Experience with 3rd party Time and Labor system such as ADP Enterprise eTime or Kronos supporting more than 1,000 associates
• Required: Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel and Word.
• eTime or Kronos experience preferred.
• CPP or FPC preferred.
