ASCP Certified Endoscopy Technician (GI) - Part Time

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an ASCP Certified Endoscopy Technician specializing in gastrointestinal procedures. This part-time role supports GI physicians under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting with a range of endoscopic procedures from basic to advanced therapeutic interventions.

Job Summary: You will prepare procedure rooms and patients, assist during endoscopic procedures, manage and maintain scopes and equipment, and ensure proper infection control practices. Your role includes specimen collection, patient support, and documentation, as well as performing clinic duties as licensure permits.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• Completion of Surgical Technology, Anesthesia Technologist, Certified Nurse Assistant, or Medical Assistant program is required.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Surgical Technologist Registration, Nursing Assistant Certification, or Certified Medical Assistant licensure required.
• Endoscopy Technician Certificate preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficient in sterile processing, scope maintenance, and patient care.
• Strong time management and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to provide emotional and physical support to patients during procedures.

Work Environment and Schedule

This position offers a flexible 30-hour workweek with variable shifts between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting.
