Principal Product Manager

$158k - $210k

Meltwater Group

DescriptionWhat We’re Looking For:As Meltwater continues to scale its AI-powered media, social, and consumer intelligence platform, we’re looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the development of Mira Studio, our AI-First product offering, as well as Mira Companion, our integrated-AI offering. This role will drive the development of the Front End of Mira Studio including developing the entirely new human computer interactions afforded by a conversational or hybrid conversational interface and Generative AI. You’ll also own Mira Companion, a Gen-AI driven interface that seeks to enhance the traditional Meltwater user experience across the product suite. You will need to develop the structure and cadence of engagements with globally distributed design and development teams to manage the product development lifecycle. This will include routine C-suite stakeholder management as well as frequent engagement with commercial teams at Meltwater in support of RFPs, renewals etc. This is an exciting opportunity to build products at the leading edge of AI for some of the biggest brands in the world in an AI-led product team shaping the future of media intelligence. What You'll Do:Product Vision, Strategy and RoadmapOwn the product strategy and roadmap for the Mira Studio user experience and Mira Companion, from vision through to detailed prioritization.Form clear, opinionated product bets based on evidence, and advocate for them with senior stakeholders without getting blown off course by every new opinion.Translate company strategy into a clear sequence of product outcomes, releases and experiments, balancing ambition with delivery reality.Customer Insight and Product DiscoveryPartner closely with UX, research, the Customer Advisory Board and leadership to turn feedback and weak signals into structured development.Develop a strong internal compass for what good looks like for our customers, be comfortable with failing fast and iterating, despite pressure for perfection.Turn qualitative and quantitative insight into crisp problem definitions and product requirements, with no obvious playbook or easy competitive comparisons.Front End LeadershipLead the definition of the conversational and hybrid UI for Mira Studio and Companion, working hand in hand with design and front end engineersAs with all AI features, you will also need to spot Back End implications and dependencies and work closely to co-ordinate with Back End developments.Champion the needs of the front end experience in technical trade off conversations so it does not slip to “nice to have” behind backend data, tooling or platform work.Create alignment between design and engineering on interaction patterns, performance expectations and UX qualityChampion the ‘human in the loop’ ensuring the capabilities and value of that human user is understood by all and balanced against the limitations of AI.Review designs and implementations with a strong product and UX point of view, ensuring the experience feels coherent across Studio and Companion and maximising the opportunities for integration of those experiences.Delivery and ExecutionDrive end to end product development: framing problems, writing specs, prioritizing backlogs, making trade offs, and shipping incrementally.Work with globally distributed design and engineering teams (mostly US) to set rituals and cadences that support fast learning and predictable delivery.Define and track success metrics for the product, and adjust priorities based on what you learn post launch.Documentation and Asynchronous AlignmentSet the bar for product documentation in the team: clear PRDs, decision records, design briefs, release notes and internal FAQs.Use documentation to unblock asynchronous collaboration across time zones and maintain alignment with time-poor senior leadership teams.Work closely with Product Marketing to make it easy for commercial, support and customer success teams to understand what we are building, why, how to use it and how to position it.Sales, Customer and Stakeholder EngagementAct as a senior product partner to sales and customer success on key opportunities, renewals and escalations related to Mira Studio and Companion.Join customer calls to present the product vision and roadmap, gather high quality feedback, and build confidence in our direction.Prepare and deliver product updates for executives and the board, telling a clear story about progress, results and trade offs. What You'll Bring:10+ years of relevant industry experience ideally in social media, media monitoring, Communications or Consumer Insights.5+ years of end to end product management experience, including shipping AI powered features (ML, NLP and/or Gen AI).Proven ability to own a product area with high executive visibility and present confidently to senior stakeholders.Strong product discovery skills, with a track record of turning messy, conflicting inputs into clear problem statements and roadmaps.Deep empathy for users and strong “product taste”, especially in front end and UX for complex social listening and monitoring related workflows.Excellent documentation and written communication skills, with examples of specs, decision docs or narratives that unblocked teams.Ability to influence without authority across design, engineering, sales and customer success.Comfortable working in a fast paced, matrixed environment where priorities can shift as we learn.Preferred QualificationsExperience working across multiple geographies or business units.Familiarity with AI and ML product lifecycles, including data and evaluation considerations.Experience preparing and presenting content for executive and board level review. What We OfferEnjoy flexible paid time off that allows you to have an enhanced work-life balance.Excellent medical, dental, and vision options401(k) matching, life insurance, commuter benefits, and parental leave plansComplimentary CalmApp subscription for you and your loved ones, because mental wellness matters.Energetic work environment with a hybrid work style, providing the balance you need.Thrive within our inclusive community and seize ongoing professional
