San Diego Area Route Driver (Full-Time)

Help build the future of flex film and bag plastic recycling with award-winning non-profit Plastic Beach.

Plastic Beach is a nonprofit tackling one of the trickiest waste streams—soft plastics. We bring together community partners, brands, and funders to pilot solutions that keep plastic out of landfills and oceans.

Role: San Diego Area Route Driver (Flex plastics collections)

What you’ll do

• Driving : Drive a full-size EV van/box truck for SD County area collections

• Track and learn: Maintain pickup statistics and be a great brand ambassador

• Warehouse duties: Off-load, weigh and bale collected flex film

• Able to start IMMEDIATELY !

You are

• Self motivated and extremely reliable - Manage off-site rental vehicle collections and returns

• Sunny disposition, Organized and self-directed —Manage time and hit goals

• Experienced Driving a Van - Safely drive a large van or similar for 4 hrs+ in city traffic

• Physically Capable - Lift upto 50 lbs. Load bulky items into a van using equipment

• A connector - who enjoys outreach and help us reach the community

• Energized by environmental impact - and practical circular-economy solutions.

• Experienced (ideally 1+ years) in van / box truck driving and comfortable with driving

• Forklift License & experience highly preferred

Pay & Schedule

• Part-time W2, 36 hours
• Compensation: Starts $25/hr
