Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 14 weeks Shift: 12H Rotating (Evening/Night) Hours per Shift: Varies Experience: Minimum 2 years clinical experience, Minimum 2 years experience in Emergency Room specialty License: CA Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong Emergency Room experience Prior travel experience preferred (1-2 assignments) Proficient in EPIC documentation system Description: The registered nurse will work in a fast-paced Emergency Room environment. Candidates must have strong clinical and critical thinking skills. The patient demographic is generally well-informed and vocal about care standards. Nurses will manage a diverse patient population including STEMI, stroke, trauma, and falls. The unit typically sees a high volume of patients, with a daily census of approximately 190-200. Expect quick patient turnover and the ability to triage efficiently. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential for success in this role. All nurses must adhere to professional appearance standards, including dress code and grooming. Candidates will be required to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Additional preferences include certifications like CEN and TNCC, as well as experience with trauma and pediatrics. This role involves responsibilities including performing venipunctures, starting IVs, and conducting EKGs. Candidates should be prepared for varied shift start times.
