Job Opportunity: Bilingual School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Caseload: Kindergarten to 8th grade Location: Near Berwyn, IL Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our school district near Berwyn, IL. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students from kindergarten through 8th grade who require speech and language support in both English and a second language. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in bilingual students. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' specific needs and goals, incorporating cultural and linguistic considerations. Provide direct therapy services to students in both English and the target language, focusing on speech articulation, language comprehension, fluency, and social communication skills. Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress and integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Illinois state licensure or eligibility for licensure. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and a second language (Spanish preferred). Experience working with K-8 students in a school setting, preferably with bilingual populations. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
