Service Technician - Roadside

Position Summary The Service Technician performs preventative maintenance, diagnoses, and makes advanced repairs at various remote/roadside locations. This position is responsible for ensuring company equipment is running at optimal performance. The Service Technician determines the causes of failure and implements strategies or corrective measures to ensure failures do not reoccur. This position is responsible for various activities, including but not limited to cleaning, maintaining, assembling, and reconditioning equipment. Duties And Responsibilities Operates, inspects, troubleshoots, performs diagnostics, and identifies defects/malfunctions Determines required repairs on heavy and/or hydraulic equipment Repairs or overhauls mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment Perform preventative equipment maintenance Documents and submits all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner Maintains availability for after-hours service calls What You'll Bring To The Team Two (2) or more years of heavy equipment mechanic experience Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements Knowledge of essential job functions and responsibilities Attention to detail Organizational skills Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to problem solve Meet all physical requirements of the position Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required Legally authorized to work in the United States Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
