Swim Lead

Description The swim lead will create engaging, safe and inclusive swim lessons in a fun, supportive environment where participants can build confidence, develop essential swimming skills and enjoy learning. Flexible shifts with daytime, evening and weekend hours, no more than 29 hours per week. Locations: Wayzata East Middle School Pool and Wayzata West Middle School Pool Training provided prior to program start dates. Essential Functions Plan, organize, coordinate and direct swim activities and program for participants of all ages and skill levels. Provide support and assistance to participants and staff as needed to promote a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment. Work collaboratively with instructors, lifeguards, recreation staff, and supervisors to ensure safe, engaging and high-quality programs for all participants. Follow established staff policies, procedures, safety standards and guidelines, ensuring all staff and participants understand and follow the established policies and procedures. Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience for all participants Qualifications Must be 15 years of age or older. Current First Aid and CPR certification is required, or must be able to obtain. Must demonstrate an interest in and ability to teach children. Must demonstrate strong communication skills. Supplemental Information Need certification?
