Were looking for experienced individuals in the construction or testing industry; on the job training is provided. This position provides opportunity for growth and development within the department and company. Some basic project management and leadership skills preferred. Company provided vehicles for travel to and from job sites. This job requires travel most weeks (overnight and/or locally) Monday through Friday./ppShift/Schedule: Monday Friday with travel most weeks. 1st shift with occasional project requiring 2nd shift. Employees paid for all travel time./ph3What Youll Do:/h3ulliLead field testing projects, data collection and report writing/liliSetting up for testing including rough carpentry work to construct test chambers/liliRunning equipment on the interior of the buildings and working with customers while testing occurs./liliOperating high reach lift equipment (boom lifts, supported and suspended scaffolding)/liliAssisting with forensic investigations of building envelope failures (isolation work on exterior)/liliCommunicate with clients and project team regarding site observations and test preparation on all projects assigned/liliProvide project planning once on site for needed elements such as water, electricity and access by communicating with clients and project team/liliExpected to travel with overnight stays (company covers all travel expenses plus per diem)/liliAbility to perform physical work relevant to areas of responsibility and as assigned/li/ulpThis position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. The position assumes that the incumbent has both the mental and physical requirements to carry out the above defined duties./ph3Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED Equivalent/lili2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial construction, building envelope or fenestration/liliAbility to learn the building envelope including wall cladding systems, curtain wall, window and door systems, waterproofing, roofing, etc. and their installation means and methods/liliWorking knowledge of test methods and standards associated with testing of these systems or the ability to learn and comprehend these standards/liliAptitude for working independently and leading a crew on assigned projects/liliTechnical competency and ability to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers, both in writing and orally/liliEffective communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain good rapport with clients and subcontractors/liliStrong planning and organizational skills with the ability to meet changing priorities and strict deadlines/liliGood computer skills Microsoft Office Outlook/liliAbility to perform work from ladders, boom-lifts, roof levels, etc./liliAbility to routinely lift a minimum of 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, bend, crawl, push and pull as needed/liliWillingness to travel (locally and/or overnight) 75% of the time or more/liliValid drivers license and a clean driving record/li/ulh3Preferred Requirements and Qualifications/h3ulliAssociates or higher preferred (related field preferred)/li/ulpIntertek is a world leader in the Quality Assurance market, with a proven, high-quality business model and a global network of customer-focused operations and highly engaged subject matter experts.
