General Description

The Inventory Management Receiving Associate is responsible for supporting inbound receiving activities, verifying product, reviewing documentation, updating systems, identifying discrepancies, and assisting with accurate inventory movement into the warehouse. This position helps ensure inbound inventory is received, documented, staged, labeled, and processed accurately and timely manner in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.

The Inventory Management Receiving Associate works with Inventory Management, Receiving, Operations, Quality Control, Client Services, Putaway, Replenishment, and other cross-functional teams to support inventory accuracy, inbound flow, issue resolution, and operational execution. This role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, system accuracy, communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Essential Duties & Job Functions

• Support inbound receiving activities, including unloading, verifying, staging, labeling, and processing received product.
• Review purchase orders, packing slips, BOLs, system information, client requirements, product labels, quantities, lot numbers, expiration dates, and other receiving documentation for accuracy.
• Count, scan, label, sort, stage, and move received product according to company procedures and site workflow.
• Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, overages, damages, labeling issues, incorrect product, missing documentation, or other receiving concerns.
• Enter, update, and verify receiving information in approved systems, reports, trackers, or documentation.
• Partner with Inventory Management, Receiving, Quality Control, Operations, Client Services, Putaway, Replenishment, and other teams to support inbound inventory accuracy.
• Ensure received product is staged, labeled, documented, and prepared for putaway or further processing.
• Assist with researching receiving issues, inventory discrepancies, damaged product, missing items, incorrect shipments, or client-specific concerns.
• Follow company procedures for handling damaged, expired, mislabeled, quarantined, or non-conforming product.
• Maintain accurate records related to inbound receipts, discrepancies, damages, inventory movement, and follow-up activity.
• Support cycle counts, inventory audits, recounts, reconciliations, and other inventory control activities as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and inventory work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures, PPE requirements, equipment use requirements, SOPs, and site rules.
• Communicate receiving status, issues, delays, discrepancies, and inventory concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Support additional Inventory Management, Receiving, Operations, or site priorities as needed based on business needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications Mandatory:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse, receiving, inventory, fulfillment, logistics, distribution, or related operational experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify product, quantities, labels, documents, and system information accurately.
• Ability to count, scan, label, stage, move, and document product accurately.
• Ability to identify and escalate discrepancies, damages, missing information, and inventory concerns.
• Ability to follow SOPs, client requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Inventory, Receiving, Operations, Quality, Client Services, Putaway, Replenishment, and other departments.
• Basic computer or scanner skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems or inventory systems.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client, inventory, system, or business-related information.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or schedule changes when required by business needs.
