Generator Service Technician

Job Description Job Description GenReady Inc. is one of the largest Generac dealers on Long Island and we are seeking a Generator Service Technician to join our team! Responsibilities include maintenance and repair of small engines, specifically Generac Home Stand-by Generators. Responsibilities: * Perform routine preventive maintenance * such as checking and adding oil, replacing oil and air filters, doing valve adjustments and spark plug changes. * Prepare and Complete accurate work orders for repairs/maintenance * Estimate time and extent of repairs * Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing * Maintain material inventory * Additional duties as assigned Qualifications: * Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields required * Previous experience working on residential generators preferred but not required * Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment * Ability to handle physical workload * Deadline and detail-oriented * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Prior trade school experience is a plus * Must have a valid driver's license Benefits : * Competitive compensation * Paid Holidays * Opportunity to become Generac certified *pay based on experience, negotiable Company Description Established in 1979, we have specialized in generator installations since our beginning.
