Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Designer to join a growing landscape design-build team in the Louisville, Kentucky area. The company specializes in creating exceptional residential landscapes, hardscapes, and outdoor living spaces, providing comprehensive services from initial design through installation and maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for a creative professional who enjoys working directly with clients, developing customized outdoor spaces, and collaborating with a team to bring landscape design concepts to life.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential landscape design, excellent plant knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and functional landscape designs for residential properties, including gardens, hardscapes, and outdoor living spaces.

• Meet directly with clients to understand their needs, preferences, budgets, and project objectives.

• Prepare landscape plans, design presentations, and detailed drawings using DynaScapes or similar CAD software.

• Select appropriate plants, materials, and landscape features based on site conditions, aesthetics, and client requirements.

• Coordinate with installation teams and other project stakeholders to ensure designs are executed accurately.

• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high standards of design quality and client satisfaction.

• Communicate design concepts, revisions, and recommendations clearly to clients and team members.

• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

• Support the development and training of team members while continuing to grow professionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent education and experience in residential landscape design-build.

• Approximately 3-5 years of experience in residential landscape design, preferably within a design-build environment.

• Strong design skills, plant knowledge, and an excellent eye for detail.

• Experience with DynaScapes or similar landscape design/CAD software.

• Strong client-facing, communication, listening, and presentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Self-motivated, dependable, collaborative, and eager to learn and contribute to the team.

• Project management, leadership, and team training experience are a plus.

• Valid driver's license required.

Location & Work Arrangement

• Location: Louisville, Kentucky area

• Work Arrangement: Full-time, in person

• Candidates should live in or near Louisville or be willing to relocate.
