Firewall Engineer

Firewall Engineer
The Sr. Firewall Engineer should be able to:
- Design and implement firewall solutions for our network infrastructure
- Document firewall infrastructure and support playbooks
- Maintain and optimize firewall components
Daily responsibilities include:
- Experience building and deploying Cisco firepower next gen firewall from the ground up
- Ability to build high availability set up on firewalls
- Ability to support multiple tenant separation using Next Gen firewalls
- Experience configuring advanced firewall feature sets (e.g., application security, Data Loss Prevention (DLP))
- Experience building complex firewall rule sets
- Conduct firewall environment analysis and resolve inefficiencies on the network
- Perform day to day firewall maintenance which includes configuring, installing, and troubleshooting
- Monitor network and firewall performance and troubleshoot problems and outages
- Schedule and perform upgrades to firewalls
Top skills needed:
- 5+ years of firewall experience
- 2+ years of Cisco switch experience
- VPN, IPSec, PKI knowledge
- Cisco Firepower firewall (preferred skill)

Location: 5 days On-Site in Sterling, VA
