As an integral part of our multi-discipline engineering team in Advanced Weapons, you will be on the forefront of developing next generation solutions to protect technology for our nation’s warfighter. The ideal candidate will support one of our Advanced Programs as the lead for defining and architecting a secured missile weapon system. This position will require close collaboration with team members of other projects within the organization for security architecture designs as well as external partners and customers. Job Responsibilities Develop and administer configuration management activities related to planning, identification, change management, status accounting, and verification and audit. Develop and manage Configuration Management (CM) processes to maintain the integrity of the hardware and software as‑designed and as‑built configurations utilizing both PLM and ERP systems. Analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Analyze proposed changes to product design documentation of various degrees of complexity to determine effect on overall product and system. Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Review contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of project, such as Configuration Management Plans (CMP), Data Accession Lists (DAL), and Configuration Status Accounting (CSA), applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities. Independently manage modification records (e.g., Change Request, Change Notice, Variance, etc.) across multiple programs. Review and maintain product data structure bill of material (BOM) alignment in an electronic environment (e.g., engineering bill of material (EBOM) and manufacturing bill of material (MBOM)). Create and manage product baselines, Technical Data Package (TDP), DAL, CSA and participate in configuration audits. Manage Configuration Review/Control Board (CRB/CCB) meetings and disseminate agendas and minutes in accordance with a program’s CM Plan. Basic Qualifications for a Level 5 Staff (Configuration Analyst) Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of hardware configuration management with clear understanding of software configuration management. Experience creating and managing processes to ensure technical content meets internal and customer requirements. Solid written and verbal skills to effectively interact with Government counterparts, other defense contractor organizations, and other cross-functional organizations. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a timeframe set forth by management. Strong understanding of EIA‑649 or MIL‑HDBK‑61A, or equivalent. Strong understanding and ability to apply Configuration Management principles. Significant experience reviewing engineering documentation. Ability to apply principles of a Configuration Management Plan (CMP) and provide solutions to problems of unusual complexity that require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovation. Strong understanding of maintaining a bill of material (BOM) between PLM and ERP systems. Experience creating product baselines, TDP, and configuration status accounting. Experience participating or hosting a program’s CRB/CCB to include Major (Class I) / Minor (Class II) classifications, effectivity, and disposition. Ability to meet deadlines and manage priorities in support of program milestones. Ability to review contract and determine Statement of Work (SOW) requirements and how they pertain to the program. Solid foundation working in a configuration management product lifecycle/data system (e.g., Agile PLM, Teamcenter, CMPro, Windchill, etc.). Ability to be self‑supervisory and make decisions on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long‑range goals and objectives. Preferred Qualifications Active DoD Secret Security Clearance Secret (or higher). Current/active SAP clearance. Configuration Management Certification. Experience in military, government, commercial aerospace industry (e.g., aviation/equipment maintenance, aircraft operations, or commercial industrial technology companies). Experience working in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Material Requirements Planning tool (MRP) (e.g., Deltek, Oracle, SAP, etc.).
