Security Engineer

Job Title Project Overview: Northern Trust is looking for an experienced resource to support Global Physical Security Systems, a suite of applications that control secure access (eg building badging, security cameras, etc.) to Northern Trust facilities globally. Contractor’s Role Supports, monitors, and maintains security/access systems and facilitates product upgrades. Experience Level Mid Level 2 (3-7 yrs) Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience in Information Security and application support for physical security applications.
- 2 - 3 years of experience in deployment, implementation and upgrades of physical security applications for badging and building access.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
- General understand of project/program management processes
- Knowledge of software, hardware and systems development life cycles and process improvement techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot issues, escalate to vendor or internal support teams and track through resolution
- Change management process and controls
- Knowledge of MS SQL database and ability to write basic queries
- Ability to describe highly technical information in an understandable level to any audience.
- Ability to work with minimal direction on a variety of requirements.
- Experience in Windows programming (.Net, VB Scripting, PowerShell, Administrative scripting) a plus.
