Warehouse Associate / Material Handler

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Ashland VA

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Associate / Material Handler to join a growing team. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and enjoy working in a team setting.

Key Responsibilities

Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
Receive and verify incoming shipments for accuracy.
Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
Complete basic computer data entry and warehouse documentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain on your feet throughout the shift.
Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Forklift experience is a plus, but training may be provided.

Expected Results

Orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
Inventory is received and processed with minimal errors.
Safety standards are consistently followed.
Warehouse remains clean, organized, and efficient.
