What You Will Do Assessing materials based on conformance to specifications Assessing parts and hardware based on conformance to design requirements Conducting hands on analytical chemistry using a variety of laboratory techniques Following standard written protocols, as well as developing and fabricating unique test plans and test setups Reviewing material documentation and assessment of specifications Engagement with subject matter experts to understand material usage Engagement with suppliers Qualifications You Must Have Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Experience with Analytical Chemistry and Instrumental lab equipment (course work and lab experience), such as Infrared Spectroscopy and Chromatography Ability to troubleshoot analytical instrument problems, perform analysis, and interpret data The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer Understanding and coursework in Materials Science and Polymer Science Understanding of material safety datasheets, military specifications, and ASTM test methods Class projects, professional internships, or academic research demonstrating the ability to apply technical course work in Chemistry Ability to write concise technical reports summarizing analyses Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
