Job Summary

Join a dedicated team as an Emergency Room Registered Nurse at a Critical Access Hospital in Kremmling, CO. This facility operates as a Trauma Level IV center, providing essential emergency care to a diverse patient population.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive patient care from admission through discharge within the fast-paced Emergency Department environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a vital community healthcare setting, with potential for coverage at nearby facilities in Granby and Fraser, CO, ensuring broad impact and varied experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and coordinate patient care for individuals presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Utilize accepted standards and protocols of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (or equivalent), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Certified Emergency Nursing (CEN).
• Ensure the achievement of optimal patient outcomes through the effective implementation of clinical pathways.
• Provide comprehensive care for emergency patients from initial admission to discharge.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience in an Emergency Department setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a Critical Access Hospital (CAH) environment.

• Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, intervention, and discharge planning.
• Strong clinical skills in emergency response, trauma care, and life support protocols.
• Ability to manage a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Hours: Three (3) 12-hour shifts per week.
• Call Requirements: Two (2) call shifts per week are required.
• Weekend/Holiday: Holidays and on-call shifts are mandatory.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks.
• Start Date: October 5, 2026.
• Location: Primary coverage in Kremmling, CO, with potential for coverage in Granby & Fraser, CO.
• Time Off: All requests for time off must be disclosed during the initial interview process.

Licensing Requirements

• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
