Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist with 1+ years of experience and ARRT(R)(M) certification for a day-shift outpatient breast center role.

Details

• Outpatient breast center setting within the Mammography department
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Uses GE mammography equipment and Epic EMR
• 5x8 day shift schedule, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No weekend hours or call requirements
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• ARRT(R)(M) license required if applicable
• BLS certification from AHA required
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Mammography required
• QA/QC skillset preferred
• Must be able to perform all QC on stereo unit and assist with special procedures, needle localizations, and biopsies

Additional Information

• Greets and prepares patients, explains procedures, and performs mammography exams according to department protocol
• Assists radiologist with special procedures, needle localizations, and biopsies
• Responsible for portions of MQSA quality standards including processor QA, dark room fog, and screen film tests
• Prepares and stocks exam rooms, maintains equipment, and cleans rooms between patients
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to coordinate scheduling and ensure smooth department operations
• Assists with training and orientation of new staff as needed
• Required to work a fair share of weekends and remain flexible with scheduling based on departmental needs
• Black scrubs required; no other scrub colors permitted
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Accepts local candidates, though bill rate is reduced for those within 50 miles of the facility
