Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum one year of cardiac experience required License: Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS) Certifications: BLS American Heart Association only Must-Have: - Graduate of an ultrasonography program required - ARDMS or CCI certification preferred Description: Days are Monday through Friday with variable shift start times between 07:00 and 09:00. There will be a rotation on weekends to support coverage. On-call rotation may be required based on operational needs. Candidates can start on select dates in September. A minimum of one year of cardiac experience is required. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing 2D Echo, 3D Echo, and bubble studies. Skills in Color Doppler, Diastology, M-Mode, and LV Strain/LV Volume are beneficial. The candidate must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents and conduct agitated saline bubble studies. This position involves completing an expectation of seven scans per day. The role requires floating between different locations as needed. Candidates must possess skills in imaging with contrast agents and adhere to isolation precautions. The environment promotes collaboration and the use of advanced ultrasound technology. This position supports care for patients from pediatrics through adulthood. Candidates should have experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Expectations for pace and volume will be communicated during the hiring process. A telemetry exam will be required prior to starting the position, with strict passing criteria. The assignment will be canceled if the candidate fails to meet exam requirements after three attempts.
