Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Valid Pennsylvania RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: ICU experience is required. Description: The position is for an Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse. The RN will care for adult and geriatric patients with a variety of conditions including diabetic ketoacidosis, ST elevation myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular accident, and respiratory failure. The unit has a total of beds with patient ratios of 1:6, depending on patient status. Equipment used includes ventilators, intra-aortic balloon pumps, arterial lines, and CPAP machines. The Electronic Health Record system used is EPIC. There are no call requirements for this position. Floating to medical-surgical units may be required if the ICU is closed for a shift. The dress code allows for any scrub color. A strong personality fit for a high-stress environment is essential.
