Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with OR scrub experience for an acute care operating room position on evening shifts with call requirements.

Job Details

• Acute care operating room unit with 3 suites averaging 8-10 cases per day,
• Common cases include ortho, general, gyn, trauma, total joints, ENT, podiatry, urology, and robotics,
• Evening shift 1p-9:30p Monday-Friday with additional scheduled shifts 6:30a-7p Monday-Wednesday,
• Uses EPIC charting system,
• On-call required, including 5-6 weeknight calls and 36 weekend call hours in a 6-week period, plus 1 holiday,
• Call response time of 30 minutes,
• No floating required,
• Charge nurse present during shifts with house supervisor coverage,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• OR scrub experience required,
• BLS certification (AHA),
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential via NBSTSA,
• DORA CO certification required,
• Active state or compact nursing license required if applicable,
• Driver's license copy required for consideration,

Additional Information

• OR orientation provided during the first week of onboarding, with 12 hours of general orientation,
• Scrubs provided on site,
• First-time travelers may be considered,
• Candidates should reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be considered for this position's pay structure,
• Local candidates may be accepted depending on facility-specific rate policies,
• Returning candidates who worked directly for an affiliated facility within the past year are not eligible for consideration
