Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 13-Week Contract

Schedule

3x12 hour shifts; Every Monday and Tuesday dayshift, alternating Wednesday and Friday nightshift.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract position. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care in an acute care setting, primarily working with adult patients, with some exposure to pediatrics and neonates in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Administer and manage ventilator support, including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow nasal cannula.
• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and manage airway clearance procedures.
• Provide outpatient care including setting up nocturnal pulse oximetry and conducting blood gas tests.
• Work independently during night shifts and assist with intubation as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and attend to departmental needs as directed by management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with ventilatory skills.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PCOT. Preference for Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) status, but Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is acceptable.
• Experience with pediatrics is preferred but not mandatory.
