Procurement Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Coordinator that will support the Purchasing Manager in the execution and continuous improvement of material procurement for commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. This role is instrumental in the rollout and adoption of our purchasing platform software, which enables field supervisors to directly place and manage material orders. Rather than serving as a primary order entry role, the Procurement Coordinator focuses on supporting field teams through training, guidance, and issue resolution—ensuring they can effectively use the system and receive the materials they need without disruption. This role is also responsible for managing non-routine purchasing challenges, including backorders, material shortages, and vendor issues, by identifying and executing alternative solutions. The ideal candidate has experience in electrical distribution or construction material supply and thrives in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment. Key Responsibilities Procurement Software Rollout & Field Support Support the implementation and adoption of Procurement Software across field and project teams Train field supervisors on how to properly request, place, and track material orders within the system Serve as a day-to-day support resource for field users, answering questions and resolving issues Gather feedback from field teams and help refine processes to improve usability and efficiency Promote consistent and effective use of the platform across all projects Exception & Issue Resolution (Critical Function) Monitor and manage disruptions to material flow, including backorders, shortages, and delivery delays Proactively identify risks to jobsite material availability and take corrective action Source alternative materials, vendors, or delivery strategies to maintain project progress Coordinate closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly and effectively Communicate clearly with field and project teams regarding issues, options, and resolutions Procurement Oversight & Support Support purchasing activities as needed, including review and coordination of orders placed through Procurement Software Assist in ensuring accuracy of pricing, vendor selection, and material specifications Help maintain clean and reliable data within the system (items, vendors, pricing) Vendor Coordination Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors and suppliers Work with vendors to identify solutions during material shortages or constraints Assist in obtaining quotes and evaluating sourcing options when needed Operational & Process Improvement Help standardize procurement workflows to support scalability Identify opportunities to reduce friction for field teams and improve material flow Support the Purchasing Manager in developing efficient, repeatable processes Required: 2 plus years of experience in purchasing, procurement or material supply. Experience should be with electrical distribution, commercial construction, or industrial supply industries. Experience supporting procurement systems and resolving material sourcing challenges. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced deadline drive environment. Proficiency with Excel Preferred: Procurement ERP systems (Remarcable experience is a plus) Knowledge of electrical materials (gear, conduit wire, lighting, etc)
