Research Analyst

Overview The School of Nursing is one of eight schools that comprise Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS), offering unique opportunities in education, research, and practice at a leading national research university. The School provides bachelor’s, master’s, post‑master’s, DNP, and Ph.D. programs that prepare nurse leaders at campuses in Newark, New Brunswick, and Blackwood, NJ. Responsibilities Collaborates on innovative nursing science research projects focusing on biopsychosocial aspects of mental health, acute/chronic and pain‑related conditions, including sickle cell disease. Designs and implements data collection strategies, including qualitative and quantitative methods, surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Analyzes data using appropriate statistical or thematic analysis methods. Assists with the preparation of grant proposals and manuscripts for publication in peer‑reviewed journals. Supports the PI in applying for external research funding. Presents research findings at national and international conferences, workshops, and seminars. Prepares research reports, academic papers, and other scientific publications. Provides mentorship and guidance to graduate students, research assistants, and other trainees. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, policy makers, and other researchers. Engages in professional development opportunities and contributes to the growth of the nursing science field through grant submissions, continued education, and networking. Salary $35–$42 per hour. FLSA: Nonexempt Terms of Appointment: Temporary Staff Appointment – Hourly Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with advanced education in research design, protocol development, recruitment and retention strategies, data collection and data management plans, and research dissemination. Current enrollment in a Ph.D. nursing program with experience in research study implementation as Principal Investigator.
