Job Summary Rotech is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Technician to join the team. In this position, you will be responsible for the delivery, setup, maintenance, and instruction of medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies. You will educate patients and caregivers on proper equipment use and maintenance and provide customer service both in person and over the phone. Responsibilities Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) Assist with updating respiratory grid Be available for on‑call assignments as needed Complete delivery forms and paperwork, including: Work orders Manifests and logs Patient care instructions Coordinate verification of Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance coverage information Deliver, set up, and maintain equipment using a company or personal vehicle Maintain working knowledge of company products, services, and applicable regulations Educate patients and caregivers on safe use and maintenance of equipment Maintain assigned company vehicle in a clean and safe condition Maintain referral logs Manage intake responsibilities, including: Receiving faxes Collecting patient and referral information Printing tickets Processing paperwork Monitor office supplies Identify additional patient needs and report them during morning meetings Prepare CMNs/SOPs for Sales Representatives and maintain tracking logs Prepare complete and accurate files for the Billing Department Prepare daily route tickets Provide service to walk‑in patients Report equipment hazards and product incidents as required Coordinate deliveries with location personnel Work cooperatively with others Interact professionally with patients and referral sources Perform other duties as assigned Travel Requirements Travel to patient homes for equipment setup and recurring deliveries Use of a personal vehicle may be required Mileage reimbursement is provided for business‑related travel Employment Contingency Background check Drug screening (when applicable) Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Required Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Preferred Qualifications Experience with medical equipment One year of related work experience Knowledge of medical terminology Perform basic mathematical calculations accurately Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to interpret verbal, written, visual, and non‑verbal communication Maintain confidentiality and discretion Strong multitasking and attention‑to‑detail skills Self‑motivated, organized, and effective at time management Strong problem‑solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Technical Skills & Equipment Knowledge Internet navigation and research Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Mechanical aptitude for equipment repair and troubleshooting Proper loading, unloading, and cargo securement procedures Understanding of home respiratory equipment and supplies Physical Requirements Lift and carry office equipment as needed Sit, stand, walk, talk, and listen throughout the workday Read small print on computers, tablets, and paperwork Lift and transport patient equipment weighing at least 65 pounds Work around patients and equipment with potential exposure to contagious pathogens Drive a company or personal vehicle for most of the workday Comply with Rotech Respiratory Protection and N95 Mask Fit Testing Policy Complete medical evaluations and fit testing as required Participate in annual recertification Maintain a clean‑shaven face when required to ensure proper N95 mask seal Benefits Generous paid time off and paid holidays Overtime opportunities (for eligible positions) Bonus and incentive opportunities Mileage and telephone reimbursement (when applicable) Employee discount and recognition programs Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) Health Savings Account (HSA) Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Medical, prescription, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance Disability coverage Identity protection Mercer SmartConnect programs Livongo Diabetes and High Blood Pressure programs Healthcare Bluebook and RX Savings Solutions programs Hepatitis B and TB vaccinations Florida Applicants Background screening is required through the Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse: Equal Opportunity Employer Equal Opportunity Employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
