At Kathy’s House, guests are often far from home and carrying the emotional weight of a medical journey. The gentle presence of a certified therapy animal can bring moments of peace, joy, and emotional relief when it’s needed most.

We’re seeking certified pet therapy volunteers to visit with their well-mannered, trained animals and offer companionship to our guests in a calm, supportive environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Visit with guests in common areas, typically during dinner (5pm-7pm)
• Provide gentle, optional interactions with your therapy animal—no pressure, just presence.
• Follow all pet therapy safety and certification guidelines.
• Coordinate visits with staff to ensure the best experience for both guests and animals.

What You Bring:

• A certified therapy dog (or other approved therapy animal) through a recognized organization (e.g., Pet Partners, Therapy Dogs International, etc.).
• A kind, patient approach and sensitivity to guests who may be dealing with stress, grief, or exhaustion.
