Speech Language Pathologist – Columbia Pediatric Therapy, Vancouver, WA Just across the river from Portland, Oregon, you'll find our beautiful Vancouver, Washington! Our clinic is proud to call Vancouver home and is excited to be working out of our new location on McGillivray Blvd. About Our Practice We are a well‑established pediatric private practice looking for an SLP who can work independently. We have a strong presence in the community and provide services to children aged 0-5 for early intervention and over 5 years old for developmental & functional speech‑language services. We accept most insurances and private pay. We look for a candidate with at least 2 years of experience, an interest in feeding disorders and/or oromyo‑functional disorders, and a willingness to receive training and supervision in these specialties. Most patients are seen in‑clinic, with some teletherapy sessions. We offer 4 × 10‑hour days or 5 × 8‑hour days. Part‑time candidates are welcome. Candidate Qualifications We are looking for someone who is joyful, hard‑working, compassionate, has excellent written and expressive communication skills, is positive and creative, shares constructive ideas and feedback, contributes to the team, and truly wants to improve lives. Candidates must hold ASHA and Washington state licensure for Speech‑Language Pathology. Duties / Responsibilities Evaluate the needs of children with speech or language disorders and provide written and verbal assessment results to families. Meet with students weekly according to the treatment program schedule, evaluating and maintaining records of progress. Implement the Plan of Care and provide weekly therapy sessions to the child. Report progress to parents and meet with them regularly, suggesting activities parents can do to supplement the program and addressing any concerns. Repeat evaluations annually to measure progress according to professional guidelines. Communicate with students to understand their feelings about the program and any frustrations. Keep current with professional literature and attend continuing education regularly to maintain and update skills. Report directly to the Clinical Manager. Required Skills / Abilities Sufficient hearing ability to evaluate student speech. Strong verbal and written communication skills with students, faculty members, and parents to ensure clear understanding of the program and progress. Work Schedule & Salary Typical start time: 9:00 AM. Typical end time: 6:00 PM. Options include 10‑hour and 8‑hour shifts, day shifts, and part‑time shifts on Monday‑Friday. Salary ranges from $39.00 to $54.00 per hour.
