PRN/Pool Physical Therapist - Outpatient Rehab - Float, East Orlando

Position Summary Department: Orlando Health Medical Group – Outpatient Rehab Status: PPRN/Pool (As needed) Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm Title: Physical Therapist Address of Practice: Floating to East Orlando locations Responsibilities and Essential Functions Evaluates patients, gathering data from the patient, physician, interdisciplinary team meetings (if available), family and significant others. Develops treatment plans integrating the continuum of care, establishing specific goals and objectives, and treats patients accordingly. Demonstrates competency in the use, care, and maintenance of profession‑specific equipment, observing safety precautions and providing verbal explanations of the equipment and its purpose. Provides care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned caseload. Re‑evaluates and modifies treatment plans and goals when appropriate. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. Interprets patient data to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age‑specific needs. Provides care per the unit’s, area’s, and department’s policies and procedures. Communicates when a patient has received optimal benefit from physical therapy. Adheres to the State Practice Act and Standards of Practice. Ensures complete documentation and accurate billing. Provides patient and family education as indicated. Maintains punctual and regular attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education and Training Bachelor’s degree or higher from an approved program in physical therapy. Licensure and Certification Maintains a current Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida (temporary permit acceptable). Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.
