Overview
MRI Technologist (MRI Tech) – MRI specialty, Montclair, NJ, United States. Start date: 09/28/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,547–$2,766 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 5x5 Evenings. Travel assignment in a hospital setting. This position reports to Healthforce Healthcare LLC and requires appropriate MR certification and licensing per the notes below.

- On-call: 8 hours per pay period (posting notes indicate every other Sunday)
- Additional scheduled hours may appear: Tuesday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:00 PM; Saturday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; one Sunday call shift per month

Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations across multiple body systems, including neuro, abdomen (MRA/MRV/MRCP), chest, cardiac (with/without contrast), breast, pelvis, MSK, and vascular MR angiography/venography
- Prepare patients, obtain history, screen for contraindications, and manage IV access and contrast administration as required
- Ensure patient safety and comfort; monitor during imaging and manage emergencies per protocol
- Optimize and acquire MR sequences, adjust parameters for image quality, and maintain adherence to established protocols
- Maintain equipment safety and quality assurance; operate Siemens MRI equipment when applicable
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV teams, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary) to coordinate care
- Document findings and procedures in Epic or the applicable charting system; ensure accurate, timely, and compliant recordkeeping

Requirements
- Certifications: ARMRIT or ARRT (MR), plus BLS
- Licenses: State or Compact MR license must be in hand at time of submittal
- Experience: Minimum 1 year MRI experience; first-time travelers considered; travel experience not required
- Specialty/Equipment: Siemens MRI experience preferred; IV start experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with on-call requirements (8 hours per pay period; per posting, every other Sunday) and scheduled variations (see Scheduling & Floating notes)
- Scheduling notes to be expected: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 12:00 PM–8:00 PM and Saturday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; One call shift per month on a Sunday 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Locality: Note the 50-mile radius restriction for local candidates; non-local submissions preferred
