About the Position

Job Title: Procedural Sedation RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: GI Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: NM license can pend at the time of submission Certifications: ACLS & BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in administering conscious sedation - Skills in interpreting and managing dysrhythmias - Experience in monitoring conscious sedation - Proficient in specimen handling and labeling - Skilled in colonoscopy, ERCP, and EGD - Required IR skills include laser-assisted procedures, angioplasty, upper and lower extremity angiography, radiation and laser safety, and vascular closure systems Description: COVID vaccination is required. Religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of the COVID exemption form, signed by a provider for medical exemption. First-timers accepted Every other weekend required On-call required Clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs Open to accommodating block schedule: No No locals within 100-mile radius RTO restrictions: greater than 7 days need approval Unit details: includes both inpatient and outpatient GI and IR sedation cases Staffing type is self-scheduling Daily census and visit numbers are manageable Support teams include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation Patient demographics include adults Special procedures required: must have IR skills as detailed above
