Works closely with all departments and monitors, controls and prevents infections at the facility,**Responsibilities include:**· Formulates, implements and evaluates policies and procedures for the facility wide In-service programs· Prepares annual calendar and master schedule of mandatory and other pertinent in-service programs· Schedules, conducts and arranges mandatory and other services for all staff· In conjunction with Department Leaders, conducts facility orientation for all new employees· Acts as a liaison with families and patients**Required Background:**· Associate’s degree in nursing required. BSN preferred· Valid NYS RN licensure· 1-3 years of experience in a long-term care facility in Nursing Administration· Knowledge of CDC guidelines as related to infection control as well as OSHA requirementsSchaffer Extended Care Center is an equal employment opportunity employer.
