Radiologic Technologist

Perform complex and specialized Diagnostic, Fluoroscopy, Orthopedic, Surgical and Computed Tomography (CT) radiographic procedures at the organization.

Assist in the development, maintenance, and review of quality improvement (QI) and quality control (QC) programs.

Perform the full range of diagnostic CT examinations/procedures, including but not limited to neuro, chest, abdominal, chest, pediatric, extremity, body, muscular skeletal.

Identify required improvements, recommend corrective action, and perform follow-up monitoring to establish whether further action is required.

Assist the supervisor in developing quality control procedures for new radiologic examinations and the modification of existing procedures.

Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.

This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.

This position requires screening for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity regardless of job series. This position is subject to screening and update of required immunizations unless exempted for medical or administrative reasons.

This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination unless exempted by professional medical personnel or for administrative reasons.

This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

This position has a requirement to lift up to 40 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.

This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call, working either fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Incumbent required to wear Personal Protective Equipment.

Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) (CT) certification.
