Showroom Sales Consultant

Position Overview Ferguson, a Fortune 500 distributor of plumbing, HVAC, and building products, is seeking a Showroom Sales Consultant to join our team. The role focuses on delivering a world‑class, design‑focused showroom experience for homeowners, builders, and designers. Schedule Monday – Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm (rotating Saturdays: 10:00am – 3:00pm) Responsibilities Engage with customers—including builders, designers, and homeowners—to sell a wide range of products such as lighting, appliances, high‑end fixtures, and cabinetry. Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory and delivery information. Greet guests upon arrival, learn their motivations, and build lasting customer relationships. Prepare job quotations, submittals and other sales documentation. Assist customers both by appointment and walk‑ins, using suggestive sales techniques and handling complaints timely and accurately. Continuously improve sales skills and product knowledge to promote a professional image. Qualifications Prior sales experience in plumbing fixtures, lighting and/or cabinetry is preferred. Strong problem‑solving, leadership, listening and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities. Capacity to interact with a diverse customer base with varying levels of product knowledge. Basic understanding of design and interior decorating concepts. Consultative sales approach to recommend solutions that meet the customer's needs and budget. Compensation & Benefits Uncapped commission eligible role with an estimated total compensation range of $65,000 – $80,000+ annually.
