Roles and Responsibilities

• Performs all respiratory therapy duties in all patient care areas.
• Proficient in mechanical ventilation, NIPPV, patient assessment, tracheostomy care, high flow Oxygen therapy, airway stabilization/maintenance, patient education, ABG acquisition and outpatient respiratory procedures.
• Quickly responds and communicates with nursing and providers regarding changes in patient condition.
• Performs timely and accurate documentation.
• Actively participates in patient treatment plan and supports multidisciplinary team rounds.
• Positive attitude with a patient centered care focus and maintains approachable behavior and acts as a resource to others.

Required Skills and Experience

Education: RRT

Experience: New graduates and experienced therapists

Licensure: Active New York Respiratory Therapist License Certifications BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP

Physical Requirements

Able to stand for long periods of time; requires manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination. Able to perform light lifting, up to 40 pounds.

Location and Travel Requirements

Onsite at Cayuga Medical Center: 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850 Shift/Schedule - 3 12-Hr Shifts Overnight. 0%-10% Local Travel can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure

$35.00 to $48.00 per hour
