Surgery Scheduler

On-Site Surgery SchedulerOur well-established ENT practice located in North Atlanta is seeking an on-site surgery scheduler to work in conjunction with one other scheduler to support four ENT physicians.At Advanced Ear, Nose, Throat and Allergy, we strive to provide a high level of service to our patients, and this role is essential to patients who are in need of surgery or in-office procedures! Our surgery schedulers are responsible for handling all aspects of scheduling from when the order is placed--checking benefits, obtaining authorizations, scheduling procedures with facilities or in-office, coordinating with vendors, collecting deposits, and scheduling all pre and post-op visits. This person needs to be a team player and have excellent communication skills. There are many personalities involved between patients, vendors, facilities, and coworkers, so being a people-person is a must!Summary of Responsibilities:Verify insurance benefitsObtain insurance authorizationsSchedule procedures, as well as pre and post-op appointmentsCollect surgery deposits, depending on insurance benefitsCoordinate with various facilities where procedures are performedEnsure communication between surgical assistants, facilities, and office staff, so that surgeries go smoothlyPrepare pre-op facesheets forAnswer and promptly return patient phone callsOther duties as assigned
