Senior AWS Cloud Engineer

Salary: $118,300 - 219,800 per year Requirements:

• We require 12+ years of IT experience, including at least 7+ years focused on AWS cloud engineering, architecture, and automation.
• We expect deep AWS expertise across EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, IAM, Transit Gateway, and Route 53.
• We need advanced Kubernetes architecture experience, including EKS, Helm, DaemonSets, StatefulSets, Karpenter, external-dns, and aws-cni.
• We look for strong Infrastructure as Code capability with Terraform, AWS CDK, and CloudFormation.
• We require proficiency with DevOps and automation tooling such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Azure DevOps.
• We need mastery of AWS networking, including VPC design, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, and Route 53 latency-based routing.
• We expect deep knowledge of security and compliance frameworks, including IAM, AWS KMS, AWS Secrets Manager, WAF, and AWS Shield.
• We require experience building high-scale, production-grade automation solutions using Python, Bash, or Go.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional is highly preferred.
• AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) is preferred.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional is a plus.

• We lead the AWS multi-account strategy, including AWS Control Tower, Organizations, and IAM governance.
• We design hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud solutions that integrate on-premises and SaaS platforms with AWS.
• We design and optimize Kubernetes-based microservices architectures, including EKS, Helm, and Istio.
• We lead Infrastructure as Code implementation using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK.
• We automate cloud provisioning, configuration management, and infrastructure scaling.
• We improve self-healing designs by implementing automated failover, auto-scaling policies, and event-driven automation.
• We review and further develop multi-region failover and high-availability strategies using AWS services.
• We establish zero-trust security practices, embedding encryption, least-privilege IAM, and AWS security automation.
• We implement and manage AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, AWS WAF, AWS KMS, and IAM boundary policies.
• We drive compliance and risk management efforts to meet SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR requirements.
• We architect secure Kubernetes workloads using Pod Security Policies and AWS IAM roles for service accounts.
• We optimize AWS serverless solutions using Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and EventBridge.
• We improve Kubernetes networking, ingress control, and observability with AWS ALB, Nginx, and service mesh tools.
• We architect event-driven systems for real-time applications using AWS Kinesis, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB Streams.
• We design and implement high-performance cloud storage and database architectures using AWS Aurora, Redshift, DynamoDB, and ElastiCache.
• We establish enterprise cloud monitoring strategies using AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, and Coralogix.
• We help drive SRE practices, improving incident response, automated remediation, and operational excellence.
• We develop real-time logging and event correlation to support predictive analytics and anomaly detection in AWS environments.
• We act as a senior technical authority, mentoring Principal and Senior Cloud Engineers in AWS best practices.
• We lead internal AWS technical reviews, architecture discussions, and AWS Well-Architected Framework assessments.
• We engage in industry events, open-source contributions, and technical blogging to strengthen our cloud engineering leadership.
